1. DATA CONTROLLER & COMPLIANCE

Sigmar Recruitment Consultants Ltd ("we," "us," or "the Organiser") processes your personal data as a Data Controller in compliance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Irish Data Protection Acts 1988-2018.

2. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

We process your data under the following legal frameworks:

  • Contractual Necessity: To process your ticket, facilitate entry, and communicate essential event updates.

  • Legitimate Interest: To compile delegate lists for networking, provide access to the CrowdComms event app, and ensure event security/safety.

  • Consent: For electronic marketing (newsletters), partner lead scanning, and sharing your details with third-party sponsors for promotional purposes.

3. DATA SHARING & PARTNERS

We share data with our Event Partners (e.g., Vhi, IrishJobs, Enterprise Ireland, Iconic Offices, SD Worx, Great Place to Work, Kota, Swaghut, Ibec Academy, Options Card, The KeepWell Mark, Indeed, Kara Connect, The HR Company, Talent Hunter, Back to Work Connect) only if you:

  1. You provide explicit Opt-in consent via the registration form.

  2. You allow a partner to scan your digital or physical badge ("Lead Scanning") at the event.

4. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some of our service providers (including CrowdComms and certain AdTech partners) may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the UK or USA. In such cases, we ensure that appropriate safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, are in place to ensure an equivalent level of protection.

5. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect and use your data for:

  • Identification: Name, Job Title, and Company.

  • Communication: Email, Phone, and Work Address.

  • Transaction: Payment information (processed via secure, encrypted TLS/SSL providers).

  • Experience: Dietary or accessibility requirements (where voluntarily provided).

  • Media: Photography and video captured during the event for promotional use. If you wish to opt-out of photography, please notify the registration desk upon arrival to receive a "No Photo" Lanyard.

6. DATA SECURITY & RETENTION

We use industry-standard security to protect your data. We retain attendee data for a period of three (3) years following the event to facilitate alumni services and historical reporting, after which it is anonymized or deleted unless a longer period is required by law.

7. YOUR RIGHTS (GDPR)

Under Irish and EU law, you have the following rights:

  • Access & Rectification: Request a copy of your data or correct inaccurate information.

  • Erasure: Request deletion of your data (the "Right to be Forgotten").

  • Right to Object: You have a specific right to object to our use of "Legitimate Interest" for delegate networking lists.

  • Withdrawal of Consent: You may opt-out of marketing at any time via the “Unsubscribe” link in our emails.

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The websites and mobile applications are provided "as is." Sigmar Recruitment Consultants Ltd does not guarantee absolute security or accuracy of third-party content and shall not be liable for any compromise of personal information resulting from unauthorized third-party access.
