With just over one week to go until Talent Summit Galway, we are delighted to announce our full line-up for this half day event. Founded by Sigmar Recruitment, Talent Summit has grown to become one of the largest HR & Leadership conferences in Europe, and once again we will be bringing this event to Galway on Thursday, 14th June. Talent Summit Galway is a free half day event aimed at HR professionals, CEOs and hiring managers.
The theme for the day is Accelerating Growth Through Talent and Technology. With continued economic growth, companies’ focus has switched from survival to growth. Developments in technology, demographic change and urbanisation are transforming the world of work. At the same time, talent shortages prevail. Talent is increasingly choosing the employer and not the other way around. Throughout this half day event, our distinguished contributors will address these issues and more.
At 8:40am Kate Stewart, who is the Head of HR Recruitment in Sigmar Recruitment, will kick off the morning and present the results of the Talent Leaders Pulse Report, which highlight the challenges facing HR teams in 2018..
At 9:00am the first panel discussion of the day will kick off with Ed Mc Dermott, Enterprise Account Manager, Social Talent and Laura Beatty, Talent Acquisition Manager, Medtronic. The panel will discuss the topic of ‘The Future of Talent Acquisition’. While recruiting technology is becoming increasingly cognitive, automating much of the search cycle, actively engaging the right people in the right way, at the right time has become paramount to acquiring top talent.
Following this, we switch to the topic of creative leadership. Mark Rauenzahn, Director of Operations, Integer Holdings Corp. (Formerly Lake Region Medical), Ruairí Conroy Managing Director, EMEA, SiteMinder and Micheál Donoghue Galway Hurling Manager & Philips Sports Manager of the Year 2017 will discuss how leadership can be developed creatively, how we can set up environments and conditions for creative thinking and how we can empower organisations and colleagues to embrace and adapt to change.
At 11:00am Fiona Claridge, Commercial Lead, cut-e will after the break present ‘Performance through People: Where Instinct Meets Insights’. With continuous feedback tools providing richer insights, how can employers accelerate performance while balancing wellbeing and enhance the employee experience.
The final panel of the day will examine ‘Employee Engagement’. James Lyons, Vice President Operations, Boston Scientific and Patricia Conroy, HR Business Partner, Creganna Medical/TE Connectivity will discuss the importance of employee engagement and how it boosts performance and retention.
