Meet the Panel: Performance Through People - Where Instinct Meets Insights

February 15, 2018

Excitement is building with just a week to go to Talent Summit 2018. One panel in particular we’re looking forward to hearing from is our performance panel.

With continuous feedback tools providing richer insights, at Talent Summit we want to look at how insights and instinct drive performance and engagement.

Kicking off the discussion, David Barrett, Chief Commercial Officer at Aon Assessment Solutions will give a keynote address on Using Intelligent Talent Data to Drive a High Performance Organisation.

David Barrett is a business-focused occupational psychologist and leading speaker in all areas of online assessment, recruitment, talent and human resources technology. As CCO of cut-e, he leads the company’s professional advisory and commercial teams across 35 countries and oversees the development of its talent measurement, psychometrics, predictive analytics and talent technology services.

Following his keynote, David will join a diverse panel of speakers who will generate some insightful dialogue around how employers can accelerate performance while balancing employee wellbeing.

Panel:

Joe Creegan, Head of Corporate Life & Pensions, Zurich

Joe joined Zurich Life in 1992 and has extensive experience of the Corporate Pensions market in Ireland, across sales, design and implementation of group pension schemes. Joe heads up Zurich's Corporate Life and Pensions division in Ireland and plays a leading role in the company’s relationship and engagement with key Employee Benefit Consultants and Corporate Clients. Joe is aware of the challenges HR can face if they aren’t empowered to make the decisions around the employee benefits offering and Joe is a strong advocate of HR being influential in this space as believes HR are best placed to drive the engagement within an organisation and the employee appreciation of a strong benefits offering. Furthermore, from his own experience within Zurich Joe knows the value of the business truly partnering with HR and will be able to give the audience real business examples such as the recent changes Zurich have rolled out to their own internal performance management programme.

Professor Amanda Shantz, Associate Professor of Human Resources and Organisational Behaviour, Trinity Business School

Amanda acquired her undergraduate degree at McGill University, her MSc at the London School of Economics, and her PhD at the University of Toronto. She has been teaching, researching, and publishing in human resource management for over 10 years.

In particular, she is interested in how micro-level perceptions of human resource management influence employee engagement and performance, and more recently, how attributions of human resource management practices influence employees’ wellbeing and performance.

Aisling Teillard, CEO, Tandem HR Solutions

Aisling’s held senior HR roles for over 20 years prior to the establishment of Tandem HR Solutions. As a former HR Director of O2 Telefonica, where she worked as an integral part of the European team, Aisling led many change initiatives, including performance management, talent management and cultural change programmes. She successfully established and ran Telefonica’s first European organisation, a HR shared service, and expanded the remit to incorporate HR analytics and digital strategy.

Easier communication to support employee development and a coaching culture is at the heart of the Tandem software which has tools to enable continuous feedback flow within organisations to drive better performance.
